Choosing The “RIGHT” Aircraft For Your Next Private Jet Charter Mission

When preparing for your next business trip or leisure getaway, choosing the “RIGHT” aircraft for your mission is one of the most important factors necessary in maximizing the “value” of flying on a private jet.

Value can be gauged in many ways when discussing private aviation. Aircraft choice is a the key. There are many options to consider when chartering the “RIGHT” aircraft.

  • Size of aircraft for the mission
  • Number of passengers traveling
  • Are you traveling with a pet(s)?
  • Are you traveling with over-sized luggage? (skis, golf clubs)
  • Distance in hours from the departure city to the destination city
  • Whether or not you need an enclosed lavatory on board (some light aircraft DO NOT have enclosed lavatories)

These are just a few of the more important options to consider when choosing your aircraft.

Aircraft Options:

  • Turbo PropsMax Passengers (7) Speed (310-350 mph) Range (1000-1200 sm)
  • Light JetsMax Passengers (7) Speed (380-490 mph) Range (1000-1300 sm)
  • Mid JetsMax Passengers (8) Speed (420-490 mph) Range (1550-2000 sm)
  • Super-Mid JetsMax Passengers (9) Speed (500-600) Range (3300-4500 sm)
  • Heavy JetsMax Passengers (12) Speed (460-600 mph) Range (3000-7000 sm)

Now that you have the “basics” figured out it is time to make the most educated decision combined with personal preference. Many clients like to choose an aircraft option outside of the scope of the above options. Preference is choosing the aircraft that “you” like and feel comfortable in.
